Director of Business Development
Job Description:
This position is responsible for managing the overall approach and plan for attracting and retaining client companies for the organization’s EAP services. Develop, implement, and monitor, a tactical plan that: maintains current client base, identifies growth areas for potential clients, and includes measurable objectives. They will focus on strengthening relationships with client companies and generating exclusive partnerships to continue to grow and sustain the business.
Duties include:
- Lead and provide direct supervision to department staff who are responsible for:
- Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients; prepare contracts for new business.
- Ensuring that annual renewals of contracts are successfully negotiated with current client companies and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Producing and distributing utilization reports for all client companies.
- On-boarding new client companies using proven practices of company/employee orientations, production of promotional materials.
- Outreaching lower-utilizing companies and support them to increase utilization of the program.
- Providing and scheduling trainings, that are a part of our contractual obligation, from the Training Catalog to client companies.
- Evaluate existing partnerships and outreach efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
- Research the latest strategies for marketing in the EAP industry and create new opportunities to expand Coastline’s business.
- Continuously expand our business reach by leveraging networking techniques and exploring new opportunities.
- Clearly communicate the features and benefits of our offerings, demonstrating how they solve customer problems.
- Promote the company’s products and services through implementation of marketing strategies such as, but not limited to, memberships in chambers of commerce, partnerships with benefits/insurance brokers, attendance at industry meetings and conferences, and conducting presentations (such as public webinars) to raise the profile of the program.
Qualifications include:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or similar field.
· Seven to ten years of experience in developing new and supporting existing client-based relationships.
· Organizational skills that exhibit a comfort level in juggling numerous clients, on- and off-site meetings, and deadlines.
· Leadership, management, and mentoring skills. Ability to successfully use technology tools to deliver services.
· Proficient use of technology in an office environment. Experience using an electronic client or customer record (CRM).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
